Half Term Highlights

Half term is just around the corner and you may be wondering what to do with your hard-earned week off. In previous posts, I’ve suggested fun things to do at home, but with the weather starting to be slightly more summery, it’s a great opportunity to get out and about to some interesting places with your carer or parent.

Here are some great ideas for places to visit over half term:

Museums and Art Galleries

There are loads of fantastic museums and art galleries you can visit around the North West and a lot of them are usually free to enter. Over the half term, a lot of museums hold activity days for young people which are usually themed, so it’s always good to check on the website to see when its best to go.

Outdoor Walks

With the weather starting to get a little better, it’s the perfect time to go for a long walk and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings. You’ll have to be careful though, as some terrains may be slightly harder to walk through than others!

Movie Fun

Over the half term, a lot of cinemas show the past years top films at a reduced rate, so it’s the perfect opportunity to catch that blockbuster you missed when it was first released.

Get Sporty

There are lots of parks where you can enjoy a long bike ride or you could book a session at your local leisure session for activities such as indoor rock climbing, badminton and swimming.
