Saving Children with Christmas Jumper Day

Here at Perpetual we like a bit of fun, as you see with the many events we organise with our fostering community (from Christmas parties to summer camping trips).

But only a good cause gets certain staff members to look silly during office hours. Save the Children is that sort of cause.

So this year everyone at Perpetual donned a wacky festive jumper and donated £2. All money raised goes to initiatives like giving a child living in a refugee camp clothes to keep them warm through winter, buying nutritious food for their entire family and setting up safe spaces to give children the chance to be children again. As Save the Children said, Christmas Jumper Day is ‘a very silly way to solve some very serious problems!’

So here’s Bolton’s best kitted out in aid of vulnerable children:

Want to make a difference locally this Christmas?

Silliness aside, we’re in the midst of another important festive campaign – to recruit foster carers in the North West and West Midlands.

There’s a huge shortage of foster carers in these areas.

If you have a spare room, why not give a little love this Christmas and turn it into a home for a child who needs you?

You don’t need any particular skills or qualifications to become a foster carer. All you need is:

  • A spare room
  • Experience of life
  • Passion for helping young people

If those 3 things apply to you, then have a look at our free fostering guide:
